The Department has its origin in the University School of the former State Technical University (1959), with the structure of the Teaching Council for the specialty of Mechanics. Subsequently, this Council would become a Department, maintaining a Department-Career structure, in which capacity it would be responsible for attending to the nascent Mechanical Execution Engineering career (D.U 999 of 12/27/66), from which the first 16 professionals would graduate. the year 1968.
